BIO

Latasha is an L.A. based mid level WGA screenwriter who most recently developed an original dark drama series with Netflix via the platform’s Created By Initiative. This shortly follows her feature in Variety for her tenure in the Spring ‘23 cohort of Mara Brock Akil’s The Writer’s Colony. Her latest credits include staff writing on The Psychological Evolution of Fckboys - a dramedy for Keke Palmer’s KeyTV Network - as well as the dramatic short Dark Matter on Revolt TV ( in partnership with Damn Write Originals).

Latasha began producing original digital content in 2010 with her celebrity interview platform, Dope Files - predating writing & producing two seasons of her awarded comedy web series Sit Black & Relax. She is currently in distribution for her latest sketch comedy series in which she wrote and starred, JustLatasha’s Inner Actions.

Her popular Dissection series grabbed digital nods from Lena Waithe and Katori Hall as she expanded her notoriety as a staple panelist on The Grapevine TV, guest host on Entertainment Tonight Canada, with features in Teen Vogue, AfroTech, Dark & Lovely, and more.

Latasha was also a 2022 OTV Writing Fellow and grant recipient, with work placing on Coverfly's The Red List.

Latasha’s stories favor invigorating characters who unearth emotional torment in order to arise in renewed self discovery in both comedy and drama.
