BIO
Latasha is an L.A.-based mid-level WGA drama and comedy TV Writer with a striking, compelling and unique voice. Recently securing a script development deal with Netflix through their Created By Initiative, she gained further recognition through her features in The Hollywood Reporter and Variety for her tenure at Mara Brock Akil's The Writer's Colony residency. Latasha is currently enrolled in the Rideback RISE Circle, as featured in Deadline.
Latasha’s writing credits include Staff Writing for The Psychological Evolution of Fckboys, a dramedy for Keke Palmer’s KeyTV Network, and the dramatic short Dark Matter, which aired on Revolt TV - both respectively in partnership with Damn Write Originals.
A pioneer in digital content creation, Latasha first made her mark in 2010 with Dope Files, a celebrity interview platform, and went on to write and produce two seasons of the comedy web series Sit Black & Relax. As a 2022 OTV Writing Fellow and grant recipient, Latasha licensed and released her recent sketch comedy series, JustLatasha’s Inner Actions, on OTV.
Latasha's Dissection series garnered recognition from industry heavyweights like Lena Waithe and Katori Hall, while her candid insights and wit made her a sought-after panelist on The Grapevine TV and two-time guest host on Entertainment Tonight Canada. Her features include Teen Vogue, AfroTech, Dark & Lovely, and more.
